Connor McKenney is a talented goldsmith whose journey began in Austria with a singular aspiration: to master the art of engraving in honor of his grandfather’s custom rifles. Inspired by the remarkable craftsmanship of his peers, Connor was captivated by how skilled artisans could transform raw metal into exquisite forms. His formal education required hands-on experience in an operational shop, leading his mother to seek opportunities back in the United States.

In St. Augustine, she discovered a small goldsmith shop where Joel Bagnal welcomed Connor into his workshop. Under Joel’s guidance, Connor experienced the enchanting process of metal manipulation, an art he was eager to learn. Upon returning home, Connor diligently sought a goldsmithing apprenticeship, ultimately joining Joel’s team.

After two years of invaluable training, Connor stepped into his mentor's shoes when Joel retired, passing the torch to the capable hands of his protégé. Today, Connor continues to honor Joel Bagnal’s legacy as he masters the intricate craft of goldsmithing, combining tradition with his own innovative vision at Joel Bagnal Goldsmith.
