Sandy Harrington

Sandy Harrington is an award-winning watercolor and ink artist based in Jacksonville, Florida. With a profound affinity for the transparency and movement of watercolors, she employs a wet-on-wet technique that fosters the creation of flowing patterns on paper. This intricate style requires considerable patience and often results in the loss of paper, yet it is in these moments that Harrington finds her deepest joy—while immersed in the act of painting.

Harrington's professional journey began in the realms of illustration and advertising, where she worked across Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, and New Smyrna Beach. She established strong connections within the community, collaborating with notable clients such as the Fairgreen Golf and Country Club, Old Salty's Inn, and I-Care Child Abuse Campaign. Her artistic talents extended beyond commercial work as she contributed to the creative fabric of local education, producing large-scale murals, costumes, and scenic designs for the Children's Musical Theatre as well as Mainland and Seabreeze High Schools in Daytona Beach.

Following a rewarding career in real estate and while raising a family, Harrington remained committed to the arts, sharing her talents with the Volusia County Schools. Her artwork has graced stage productions, including CMT's renditions of Beauty and the Beast and The Secret Garden, as well as Mainland and Seabreeze High School productions, such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.

Today, Sandy Harrington continues to inspire and create, enchanting viewers with her distinctive approach to watercolor and ink, celebrating the beauty of color and the fluidity of life through her art.
